Our Work

Foundational Guidance

We develop foundational guidance, like Stifel’s Asset Allocation Framework and Stifel Financial ID. These are very practical tools enabling you to apply behavioral finance to your practice. Of course, we conduct high conviction Manager Research, so you have a reliable source for manager recommendations as you invest for your clients.

CIO Office Insights

Our insights help you and your clients better understand what is happening around the world and the related investment implications. Just to name a few … Our Annual Outlook report, video, and client webinar set the stage for the year.  SightLines, a weekly note, video, and podcast,  focuses on an important topic amid the market noise. A Stifel Advisor favorite, Market Pulse is published just after the close on any day the S&P 500 index moves up or down 2%. Stifel Bits takes a breezy, lighthearted approach to our insights – great for connecting with the next generation of investors. A monthly Investment Strategy Brief covers our more in-depth thinking on the current economic and market environment.  And finally, CIO Weekly, which is an e-mail that we publish both internally, to give our advisors a summary of our work, plus as a pre-approved, external version that is designed for you to share with clients and prospects with one simple click.

Actional Investment Guidance

Our investment guidance is simple – it’s designed to help you grow your business. We host two webinars as a means for our advisors to network, share best practices, and unlock opportunity: the first, a monthly Ideas to Action call connecting market action and investment themes to key product areas, and the second, our FA Investment Forum, featuring best-practicing advisors on a variety of topics. We build MAC Portfolios, which answer the question: If I have this much to invest, what’s your best thinking? And Macro Investment Ideas, trade product ideas drawn from our macro work.

Turn-Key Portfolios

We offer 120 Asset Allocation and Component Stifel Choice Portfolios, a discretionary offering of Stifel’s best thinking on allocation and manager selection, all at no extra platform charge to you or your client. You charge your wrap fee, which is applied to your grid.

Client Engagement

Our Client Engagement team produces large-scale client events and webinars, but is also available to work one on one with you and your clients on your more complex cases.  We mean it when we say, we’re large enough to have all of the resources you need to serve your clients, and small enough to be accessible.
